In this session, we will discuss the different forms of trauma, the physical, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral signs and symptoms of trauma, and how trauma impacts brain development. The goal of this session is to help educators learn to look at our students from the perspective of what has happened or what is happening to them, instead of what is wrong with them. Learning about protective factors and building relationships are some of the first steps to becoming a trauma informed school.
